"We
encourage philanthropy
in Laguna Beach."
Laura Tarbox, Chair, and Darrcy Loveland, President and CEO, of the Laguna Beach Community Foundation are pleased to announce the addition of Jim Jaqua to the Board of Trustees.
“Jim has worked with community foundations both in his personal and corporate life. He understands how important a community foundation can be,” said Tarbox.
Loveland added, “Jim’s professional expertise and personal experience as a philanthropist will be tremendous assets to our Board and will assist the Laguna Beach Community Foundation in our goal to encourage philanthropy.”
“As a former Bank of Hemet CEO and President, I worked with the Riverside Community Foundation to establish a Donor Advised Fund for college scholarships for the children of the bank’s employees. My wife Susie and I have also established our personal Donor Advised Funds at a number of community foundations, including the Laguna Beach Community Foundation” Jaqua said. “We love Laguna Beach and are glad to be able to use our expertise to help Laguna Beach residents understand charitable giving through a community foundation.” Laguna Beach Community Foundation, a public benefit, 501(c)(3) nonprofit community foundation, assists donors with a unique combination of experienced grantmaking, asset management and donor-friendly flexibility, connecting donors’ passions with nonprofit needs.
