"We
encourage philanthropy
in Laguna Beach."

Laguna Beach Seniors, Inc. (LBSI) was not only the recipient of a major grant distributed this year by the Laguna Beach Laguna Beach Community Foundation (LBCF), but the grant was topped off by a generous donation by Jim and Susie Jaqua, given as a grant through the fund they recently established with LBCF.
The Jaqua’s, Laguna Beach residents, and generous philanthropists with several organizations in town, are on the Founders Wall of the Susi Q, and have again endorsed the organization’s commitment to this rapidly increasing population.
The $10,000 grant was the maximum level of funding by the foundation, and a second year of funding for LBSI. Funding will focus on case management, which provides essential support services for seniors most in need. Two case managers work with clients both on-site and at home, and also with families and caretakers, helping to secure support services and provide an anchor during difficult times.
The award was announced at a reception hosted by the Foundation’s Trustee Don Clurman. LBSI President, Chris Quilter, Board member, Ann Quilter, and Executive Director Nadia Babayi were present to receive the award.
